A Lazy Girl’s Make Up Routine

For most of life, I did not care about make up at all. I was decent at applying it, but it was more of a chore for me. I liked that I looked “prettier”, but I was usually too lazy to put it on. But the more I start to search for and invest in the perfect makeup products, the more passionate I become. I’m still not an addict to application, but I will proclaim the glory of a few of the products I use until the day I die. I wanted to share them with you guys so you can try them, and hopefully love them as much as I do!

bareMinerals

I will probably be wearing bareMinerals on my death bed. It was the first high-end makeup I ever used, and I have loved it since my first color match. It is high-quality, but affordable enough for those with limited income (or no income like me R.I.P.) to still be able to use it. I have used the original powder foundation, matte powder foundation, and barePro liquid foundation. It is full-enough coverage without looking like I have paint on my face, and it only takes me about 5 minutes to apply. It is a blessing and I don’t get acne when I accidentally sleep in my makeup… which happens all the time.

Milani Matte Lip Creme

This is the best drugstore lipstick on the market. The colors are bold and it stays on for HOURS. Application has to be precise, but if you get it right, this lipstick looks so clean. (And if you wear it you can get away with wearing almost no other makeup because everyone is just staring at your gorgeous lips.) I didn’t love to wear lipstick until I wore this brand, just sayin’.

Buxom Mascara

I have been on a hunt since the eighth grade to find a mascara I like, because I am very cheap and VERY picky. I didn’t even like Clinique mascara. But almost at random, I picked up a Buxom Mascara on Black Friday because it was $10 at Ulta and fell in love immediately. It dries quickly, keeps my eyelashes from clumping, and holds the natural curl of my lashes so I don’t have to curl them (PRAISE). It’s $20 regular price, but I’ve had it for four months already and still have plenty left, so I think the price is alright. I’d rather have an easy product that I love and pay a little extra.

The best part about these products: they’re the only three I need! Wearing these gives the appearance of wearing a full face of makeup. I’m not kidding when I tell you I’m lazy. I wouldn’t ever wear makeup if it were any more complicated than my three-step process. Of course I know how to apply eyeshadow and contour and all of that but, honestly, who has the time?

P.S. What’s one makeup product you can’t live without? Comment below!
